VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS
PRE-RIDE VOLUNTEERS
Support Volunteer (March – June) Have a behind-the-scenes experience by providing basic administrative support to the Ride staff. Most volunteer duties in this capacity include preparing rider and team materials and packets. Support opportunities occur at the UPAF offices at 929 N. Water St. unless noted otherwise.
Wheel & Sprocket Bike Expo Volunteer (March 19-22) Get geared up for the Ride by assisting with the Miller Lite Ride for the Arts booth at State Fair Park in the Wisconsin Exhibition Hall. This is a great opportunity to share your excitement about the Ride and the performing arts with an audience of bicycle enthusiasts!

Sentry Volunteer
You're the eyes and ears for traveling cyclists by providing directions and
assistance for upcoming turns, oasis locations and busy intersections. Sentries
(two per location) are located along the route to help participants stay along
the designated route and ensure safety is maintained at all times.
Bike Port Volunteer
Welcome riders to the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Finish Line Party at Summerfest by
assisting them with tagging their bikes (similar to a coat check system) and
parking them at the bike port. Responsibilities also include assisting riders
with retrieving their bikes following the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Finish Line
Party.
Start Line/Finish Line Volunteer Assist participants as they are released from the Start Line then help celebrate their return across the Finish Line.
