The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) has raised $10,730,522 in 2008. This figure is composed of $10,500,022 raised through 2008 Campaign activities to support Member and Affiliate Groups and includes $200,000 in restricted revenue from the Argosy Foundation for technology improvements, $10,500 in restricted revenue for Affiliate grant funding, and $20,000 in other restricted revenue. The total reflects a record total raised for the organization in its 42-year history.

UPAF plans to allocate $8.3 million, its highest allocation in history, to benefit its 35 Member and Affiliate performing arts organizations. In 2007, UPAF raised a record $10,535,000 and allocated $8.2 million to its Members and Affiliates.

There is still time to give! All gifts that come in before August 30th will be counted towards the 2008 Campaign.

Thank you to the 6,550 people who helped raise funds for the 2008 UPAF Campaign by participating in the Miller Lite Ride for the Arts on Sunday, June 1!

A total of $26,000 was raised through rider pledges with Maureen McCabe bringing in $5,740 and winning the top pledge prize for yet another year.

Thanks also go out to the all the Ride sponsors, UPAF group performers, and the many volunteers who helped to make the Ride a success!
